There are only a few hours left but a great opportunity nonetheless. You will earn 15 Alaska MileagePlan miles PER dollar spent at a number of stores.
If you are in need of a top-off, this will be an easy way to give you a quick “bump” in points. You need to earn or spend miles in your MileagePlan account every 24 months to keep it active, this will help. Most of these stores will typically pay you 3-5 miles per dollar spent, so this is a welcome increase.
These extra points are available until 8PM PST, after that time they will revert to their standard earning rate.
If you purchase an $80 pair of shoes on Nike, that will earn 1,200 Alaska miles. Keep in mind, you can now use JUST 5,000 Alaska miles for a one-way short-haul flight. If you live in the San Francisco or Los Angeles area, you can fly to the East Coast for just 7,500 Alaska miles one-way.
Gift cards do not typically count towards shopping portal spend. I can tell you that Neiman Marcus did track with my recent gift card purchase, YMMV. Check your American Express offers for $50 off $200 spend at Neiman Marcus. If you purchase a $200 egift card on Neiman Marcus, you’ll get $50 back from American Express and possibly earn 3,000 Alaska miles. It is worth a shot if you can use or sell the Neiman Marcus gift card anyway.
Make sure to click on the link to the merchant’s site from here. Also be sure to read the fine print for each merchant, for example, Nike DOES NOT pay out points when purchasing Air Jordan products.
